# Active versus passive — what should I build?

If you say **halotherapy**, run a **generator**. A pretty passive room is a pretty room. Selling décor as aerosol is how this industry earns its skeptics.

Active costs more to do honestly: machine, salt, HVAC that does not kill the aerosol, time to run it, cleaning. If you cannot afford active yet, do not use the medical-adjacent words. Call it a salt lounge and sleep at night.
