# High blood pressure or a heart condition?

## Answer

Ask your physician. A typical salt room is cool and quiet — not a sauna, not a workout — which is why many people with “I just need to sit down” still come. That does not make it automatically cleared for every heart or blood-pressure story.

Inhaled salt is a different pathway than dietary sodium, and still some providers prefer caution on a **sodium-restricted** medical diet or unstable blood pressure. If the visit also includes heat, whole-body vibration, steam, or cold plunge, those extras are separate questions. The cave air is one thing; the add-ons are another.

This magazine will not clear you. Your clinician will. Then tell the host what you were told so they do not stack a modality you should skip.
