# What if I am claustrophobic?

## Answer

Say so when you book. Most modern salt rooms are **lounges** — chairs, a visible door, low light — not a mine shaft and not an MRI tube. That puts a lot of people at ease. It does not magically erase claustrophobia.

Ask: how dark, how small, can I leave whenever I want, may a friend sit in with me, is there a private hour so I am not trapped in courtesy to strangers. A booth is a worse fit for this than a cave. A cave with no windows and a heavy door should be described honestly by the host.

You can leave. There is no unfinished therapy. If even that sentence does not help, this may not be your room, and that is allowed.

If you want a host who will give you a tour first, Ask the owner with your city.
