# What is an FAQ barn / CODEX?

## Answer

In this house, a **barn** is where truth lives once you have written it. **Deposit** means you put an answer in Codex — not in a chat log you will lose. **Asker** sits beside the website and retrieves what you approved. **Empty shelf** means if it is not in the barn, silicon says so instead of inventing.

You stay the author. A model wearing your logo is not a barn. A Google doc only you can find is not Asker. A vendor FAQ copied onto your letterhead is not your voice.
