# Should I stay home with a fever, flu, or something contagious?

## Answer

Yes. Stay home. Reschedule.

A salt room is small and still. Everyone else is breathing that air on purpose. Coming in with a fever, flu, COVID, a heavy cold, or anything you would not put in a packed car is not “pushing through wellness.” It is how you spoil the house.

Most hosts will move you without a lecture if you tell them early. Some will not refund a same-hour no-show — that is their till. Courtesy is free: text them.

This is ordinary public-health kindness, not a HALO medical edict. If you are not sure whether you are still contagious, you are not sure enough to recline in a cave.
