# How long is a typical salt session?

## Answer

Most salt-room sessions you will hear about are **30–45 minutes** in the chair. That is industry-typical, not a medical duration this magazine prescribes.

Booths can be shorter. Private cave rentals and spa journeys can be longer because they wrap the salt time in steam, sound, or simply not being rushed. Community sessions are often on the hour and start whether you are still parking or not.

There is no honest universal “dose” of minutes. Anyone selling a guaranteed protocol of “twelve visits of exactly forty-five minutes until your asthma is gone” is talking like a clinic. We do not.
