# May I bring an infant?

## Answer

Ask the cave, and ask your pediatrician. Do not assume.

Some houses have parent-and-me hours. Some will say not until a certain age. A community session of adults napping is rarely the right room for a newborn. A private booking with a host who has thought about temperature, salt on skin, and quiet is a different conversation.

This magazine has no infant protocol on the shelf. An infant cannot tell you the air feels like too much. That is why the clinician and the host both get a vote.

If you want help finding a house that actually hosts families, share your city and Ask the owner. If the honest answer is that she does not yet have a house she stands behind there, she will say so and can hold the request.
