# What is the lighting usually like?

## Answer

Dim. That is the usual. Salt rooms are built to be rest, not retail lighting. Some houses add warm lamps, a slow color wash, or a projector (ocean, stars, nothing). Some are almost dark.

If you need more light for balance, anxiety, or a child, **say so when you book**. Claustrophobia is easier when you know you can see the door. A good host would rather adjust than have you white-knuckle forty-five minutes.

Pink Himalayan glow is a décor choice, not a therapy. Do not confuse a color-changing bulb with the aerosol.

This magazine does not run anyone’s dimmer switch. Ask the house. If you want a trusted house, Ask the owner with your city.
