# Can I bring my phone or watch into the salt room?

## Answer

Usually **no**, and for two good reasons: salt is unkind to electronics, and a glowing screen kills the room for everyone else.

Most houses give you a basket or cubby. Watches, phones, earbuds, and anything you do not want filmed in salt should stay there. If you need a device for a medical reason, say so to the host — that is a human conversation, not a loophole for scrolling.

Photos: some private caves allow a picture after, some offer their own keepsake, some say no. Do not assume. Never photograph other guests.
