# Is salt therapy safe in pregnancy?

## Answer

Pregnancy is a reason to **ask your physician**, not a reason for a magazine to issue a national yes or no.

Many houses welcome pregnant guests and treat a salt room as gentle rest: cool, quiet, no heat-stress like a sauna. That is industry-typical hospitality. It is not an obstetric clearance. First trimester, high-risk pregnancy, blood-pressure issues, or a doctor who has already limited spa heat and exertion — those are clinician conversations.
