# What are red flags when choosing a salt cave?

A few mines, named so you can see them:

**Cure claims.** “We treat asthma / COVID / depression.” **Stop your inhaler.** Any wink that the cave replaces a physician. **No generator** and still calling it halotherapy. **No human** — only a cart and a chatbot wearing a smile. **Pressure series** as if you will fail treatment. **Fake clinical theater** — white coats, guaranteed protocols, invented FDA language.

Also: a room that smells like last guest’s perfume, a host who will not let you leave, a listing with no address, a price that only makes sense if they never turn the machine on.

This magazine was born, in part, because people got hurt by untrustworthy wellness marketing. We will not send you back into that. Ask the owner if you want a house already on the other side of that filter.
