# Can I actually see salt in the air?

## Answer

Sometimes. In some active rooms, after the generator has run, a flashlight beam will show motes in the air — the dry aerosol, not dust you are meant to ignore. Some hosts invite that on purpose so a first-timer knows this is not only décor.

Not every house does it. Not seeing a beam does not always mean the generator failed; lighting and timing matter. Seeing a beam is also not a milligram measurement of what reached your lungs. It is a demonstration.

If a room looks like a salt palace and the air is empty even with a light, ask whether this session is active. Curiosity is allowed. Skepticism is not rudeness.
