# Do I need to shower after? Is there a shower?

## Answer

Usually optional, and many salt rooms **do not** have a guest shower. You are not dirty. You may have a light salt film on skin and clothes. Most people go back to their day and shower when they would have anyway.

If you have a bathing-suit spa booking, a house might have a rinse. That is amenity, not aftercare law. If salt on your skin bothers you, ask before you book.

Do not assume lockers, robes, or a changing room. Community salt rooms can be as simple as a chair and a basket. Private spas can be more. Ask the house, not this magazine, for the floor plan.
