# Are we allowed to talk in the salt room?

## Answer

In a **shared / community** session, plan on quiet. People nap. People came to breathe, not to hear your recap of the week. Whispering still carries in a salt room. Phones stay out.

In a **private** booking you rented for a couple, a family, or a party, the host may allow conversation. Courtesy still applies: it is a small room, salt crunches, and someone in your own party may want silence. Children who cannot yet do quiet are a conversation with the host *before* you pay, not a surprise in minute ten.

There is no magazine shushing policy. There is respect. Ask the house what they expect. If you want a private room rather than a shared hour, say that when you are choosing a cave.
