# How is a salt room different from a float tank?

## Answer

A **float tank** is water: Epsom-heavy, skin-in, often dark, no gravity to argue with. A **salt room** is air: dry aerosol, a chair or a salt floor, you still feel your body. Both can be quiet. Both get called “reset.” They are not the same appointment.

If you want weightlessness and skin soak, float. If you want to breathe salt and maybe nap in a chair with your clothes on, halo. Some wellness centers offer both. That still does not merge them.

Claustrophobia shows up differently: a tank lid versus a dim lounge. Ask which fear you actually have.

This magazine will not rank them. It will not pretend a cave is a float.
