# What is a salt booth?

## Answer

A **salt booth** (sometimes a halo cabin or salt pod) is typically a one-person enclosure. You sit inside for a shorter session while a generator puts dry salt aerosol into that small volume of air.

It can be a legitimate active session. It is not a cave. There is no salt floor to rake, no shared quiet, often no host ritual around it. Some wellness centers add a booth because it fits a closet and a schedule. Some guests prefer that. Some guests want a room they can lie down in.

The same test applies: is the generator real, what salt is ground, how long does it run, and does the host talk like a clinic. A booth is not automatically “less than” a cave, and a cave is not automatically better because it photographs well.
