# What is thalassotherapy and how is it related?

## Answer

**Thalassotherapy** is the older coastal tradition: seawater, sea air, sometimes algae and beach climate, historically centered on seaside spas. The word is from the sea.

**Halotherapy** is the dry, indoor cousin: a generator putting fine salt particles into a room on a Tuesday in a landlocked town. **Speleotherapy** is the mine. Three related families — ocean, mine, man-made room — not three names for one appointment.

Guests are not wrong to feel the seashore in a good salt room. That is the metaphor this house uses on purpose. It is still honest to say you are not in a tide pool. The room is usually cooler and drier than a beach, on purpose, so the dry aerosol stays in the air.

If you want the ocean, go to the ocean. If you want a trustworthy indoor salt house, share your city and Ask the owner.
