# Who should ask a doctor before they book?

## Answer

A practical list of **topics to raise with a physician**, not a banned-from-the-cave list this magazine invented:

Asthma and reactive airways. COPD and other chronic lung disease. Pregnancy. Heart disease and unstable blood pressure. Medically sodium-restricted diets. Recent surgery or open wounds. Active infection or fever. Weeping skin or active skin infection. TB history. Cystic fibrosis and anyone already on medical saline. Pacemakers and implants if add-on modalities are in play. Children with a diagnosis. Anyone immunocompromised who wants a shared-air call.

Healthy, curious adults often just book. If you are not sure which column you are in, you are in the “ask first” column.

Then tell the host the short version so they can host, not guess.
